Who we are
«Center for Promotion of Women’s Rights – Her Rights» is a Belarusian non-profit organization. Our mission is to help build a better and more just world for both women and men. One of the most important organizational goals is to help women protect and promote their rights and interests in order to build a more democratic society based on equal opportunities.
One of the main activities of the organization is to provide free and confidential legal help for women who face gender violence and discrimination. Special attention is paid to the problem of domestic violence: Seventy percent of our participants’ appeals are directly connected to the problem of domestic violence. Women from all the regions of Belarus can address the legal helpline and get legal information and assistance.
We value non-discrimination, gender equality; respect for human rights, and the people we work together with and for.
Who can get help
We help women who face gender violence (including domestic violence), discrimination, and rights’ violations. Also, consultations are available to women who feel the need to learn more about their rights and opportunities.
We pay special attention to those women who happen to be from large or single-parent families, low-income regions, orphans, representatives of other nationalities, and etc.
How we can help
«Center for Promotion of Women’s Rights – Her Rights» provides free and confidential legal information and assistance to women in the situations of domestic violence, unjustified child removal, reproductive health discrimination, social discrimination, discrimination in education, labor discrimination, and other issues).
Help may include:
- Provision of legal and social counseling by phone, email and social networks, advice and redirection to others depending on the request;
- Assistance in the preparation of official letters, complaints, claims, and etc.;
- Assistance in bringing the case before the trial.
